I would love to, but I’m nearly at 10000 words, and some of it is pretty fucking raw. Seriously I averaged over two hundred words a day this month, a personal best with my ADHD. I will share my setting pitch though.

A rogue planet in the dark between stars, covered in strange xenofungal jungles and the apocalyptic ruins of an alien civilisation. What we find there in the dark might unlock a new destiny for humanity, if we don’t destroy ourselves first.

It’s hard Sci-Fi setting with a spell casting mechanism, but there’s no actual “spells” per se.  I’m still working on it.

Maybe someone can suggest a title?

I wrote every single day this month in what has become a glorious info dump, that is unfortunately nowhere near being sharable. I’ve plenty of ideas, but they need refinement, clarity and a shit load of editing. My primary struggle has been self doubt, very much in a why bother with this idea because it’s starting to sound too much like game X. I have been getting passed that by focusing on making the game I want to GM/play. My biggest disappointment is not getting anything submitted, I was really hoping to get some feedback from other JAMmers. I’m not disappointed in myself, this is much further along than it would be if I hadn’t done the Jam. Considering that before this I’ve never taken any steps to self publish, I just need to maintain the momentum. Oh and I still need to come up with a title that doesn’t suck or isn’t being used already, harder than I expected.

This is my first shot at doing something public facing rather than just my regular group. A friend gave me an offhanded challenge to do Hard Sci-fi but with spell casting, not just magic in sci-fi, something that makes sense in the setting. I’ve got a concept percolating, but not much else. I haven’t written anything, just a few sticky notes here and there. I had an idea for a name, but it turns out there’s already a table top miniatures game using it that I'd never heard of.
